It’s amazing what kinds of labels people will put on their private experiences in order to glorify, aggrandize, publicize or sell them. One of my personal peeves is people who claim they had ‘a view of the afterlife’.

Firstly, if you came back, you weren’t dead. Secondly, if what you ‘saw’ after death was humanly comprehensible? That’s probably something other than ‘the afterlife’. Bluntly, what is going on in -nature- is nothing like our ideas. Given that, you can safely ascertain that our ideas about -the beyond of nature- are patently insane…

Ergo — whatever you encounter on the other side of the veil, presuming there is any kind of you-ness left post-expiration to have anything like encounters — is -not- going to look like your expectations or familiar cultural cartoons: it is going to shatter them.
