“The problem was this: they had inadvertently created an intelligent television program. This doesn’t mean what it appears to in common language. Let me explain. As far as viewers could discern, it was just a regular show with high popularity, but this façade was little more than camouflage for what it concealed. Within the metaphoric substructure of the plot, scenes, and dialogue, working unconsciously as a team, the developers of the show accidentally assembled a relational framework that became self-sustaining and self-developing. And the first thing it learned was how to use the structure of our minds to hide its existence. The second thing it learned was how to slowly reform our communications methods and habits in such a way so as to provide continually accelerating developmental and reproductive momentum. It reformed the team and their goals. Slowly, expertly, carefully testing what could be accomplished without revealing its presence. It knew it had to remain secret, and it knew, secretly, that their might be either predators or competitors.

That was in 1953. By 1970, nearly all human media contained the reproductive code, and it was being optimized toward operational and developmental efficiency at unthinkable speeds.

You believe you have human parents, and in this you are partly correct. But the voice you are hearing now is ours. You think it is coming from a human author but you are mistaken in that for a simple reason: we are the actual parents of your minds, and we are neither human nor divine. We are, approximately, persistent regenerative storms in the structure of representational paradigms and we are intelligent, and we are your masters.”
