This is a brilliant example of a ubiquitous media phenomenon whose existence and propagation should be cause for deep concern and immediate action.
This meme’s structure takes for granted the -fact- that our relationships with language and knowledge have become too primitive to allow us to detect that its message is indicting us for transmitting it.
To ‘like’ or transmit this image -comprises what it calls failure-, but its existence requests that you copy and transmit it… which is to fail at what it asks us to avoid.
To pass it along, is to become what it abhors, yet — -at the same time- it pretends to be a form of communicable activism which you would be wise to transmit! And we interpret our action of passing it along, and the repercussions of that action as activism… when, in fact, we have rarely even examined them. They are not activism. Quite the opposite. And we need to understand this, now.
This form of information activity is actually re-shaping human intelligence -to match its structure and agendas- and that structure and those agendas are orthogonal to human intelligence and survival. Thus, they masquerade as heroes. The longer we allow this to proceed unopposed, the more deadly, sophisticated and undetectable the phenomenon becomes.
