If I had drawn this, I would call it ‘Justice in America’. It’s a wonderful illustration of how justice works. But it is too conservative. Because, to punish the criminal and retrieve the hat, about 400 people would have to chop off their legs.

But the basic framework is approximately correct. And, you know, we are so committed to this that we -actually don’t know what else we could possibly do- about crime and violence.

Which, of course, -is- crime. And violence!
