Once you reify your religious identities, you have a contagious, aggressive relational poison. Cults. And that’s most of what we have around here in the form of organized religion. This is why, if you wish to experience the divine, you will probably choose to hit the ‘eject’ button and depart from organized religions in general — and even their subcults.

Fundamentally, our relation with the divine is -personal-. The whole affair is deeply personal, and no one has written the book of you. Nor of the divine. Nor will they. Ever. There is no church where what is within you will be found.

The ways in which these matters are or may be communal should never be admonitory or rule over us… and this is why devout Christians should abandon Christianity and Buddhists must say goodbye to Buddhism.

Clear water not only perfectly reflects the sky — it is also transparent, through and through.

Our souls, our minds, our cultures — not even our planet can survive the conversion of the divine into idols. Or descriptions. Or laws. Especially when these pretend to be ‘the only path’ to the sacred, and become weaponized with special threats for those who refuse to comply.

No.
