When the linguistic and semantic frameworks you depend upon to reveal, structure, interact with and understand “reality’ prefer and defend their own structure in preference to the ongoing development of structural coherence with the structure they purport to effectively mediate to us — we have, effectively, weaponized modes of cognition who will defend their own structure at all costs. These are not ways of seeing so much as they are a kind of relational parasite comprised of structured relationships in a linguistic context. In human minds and cultures, these act like organisms competing for dominance, notoriety and survival. On a living world, the results of such conflict will be generally catastrophic. Moreover, they overtly deny access to and embodiment of the more advanced opportunities and intelligence assets we are born equipped to develop and express.
