“I asked about what we call angels and demons. Or ‘good and evil’ The explanation was fascinating. I cannot translate it explicitly, but the general idea was this.

There are two forms of divine (or universal) agents. The first are more or less primitive, and represent what we may approximate as ‘worker/warriors’. The second are the agencies and intelligences whose natures are profoundly advanced. Ordinarily, their effect produces a managing field in which the first form prosper and become extremely effective. If this field is interfered with, intentionally or through local crisis, problems quickly arise.

Our problem around here is with the first form. Their job is, essentially, to ‘take the heat’ and to establish dimensions and domains that are capable of nurturing complex children. This requires hardy, relatively primitive beings with more brawn and armor than brain. They take orders well, and, generally, are happily obedient in the presence of the appropriate governing intelligences.

If the web of that carries the nurturing signals of divine authority and intelligence is broken or damaged, they ‘revert’ to a more primitive condition, in which they will co-opt and attack nearly everything. This is their way of signalling that the network they rely upon for their own identity is damaged.

When the worker-soldiers are divided from divine contact and authority due to damage to the web of minds, they become aggressive, warlike, domineering monsters. These are, approximately, demons… and they will establish cultures and minds in the image of their rage and fury until the web they ordinarily obey is restored. This is as it should be. If the web is broken, it must be restored immediately. This is not the job of the worker/warriors. They cannot do this themselves.

In effect, what we call ‘evil’ is actually the signalling of the lost worker/warrior agents, in and as human persons and cultures. Neither kindness nor war can resolve this. Only the guiding authority of communion can return them to their ordinary activities, which are absolutely necessary to all beings.

The signalling we understand as evil is a sign that the web of divine connectivity, adoration, mutuality and intelligence has taken severe damage and is malfunctioning. This matter is extremely complex. A person capable of representing the web, can actually restore these beings to their proper roles. In other words, they will listen to anyone and anything that correctly connects them to the divine intelligences which are their sources and authorities. When they lose contact with those sources and authorities, they effectively go mad. Only restoration will retrieve their helpful nature. Interestingly, our people are also a bit like these two forms. So, too, our cultures.

So, according to my informant, effectively, if you want to oppose ‘evil’ you must repair the web of intelligence, care, and authority that ordinarily governs its agents, and which, in being absent or distorted, requires their active opposition until it is or can be re-established. Even this is a primitive description, but the most salient features are nonetheless useful to understand.”
