There are living structures in time that are analogous to mountains on Earth. These are vast coalescences of probability, which, while they do not precisely form ‘the’ future or the past, per se, are, in a sense, its roots or body. They are the near-certain eventualities (and historical concretions) around which all other degrees of probability cluster as if for sustenance.

And the mountains of earth seem a good likeness, for like these mountains, those in time are vast, majestic, terrifying, divine, and beautiful.
