Things do not happen ‘for a reason’ except and until humans and representational models and evaluations arise. This is in part because ‘reasons’ are a peculiarly human cognitive artifact, and have no causal relationship with happenings whatsoever, unless, of course, you happen to be human, which is, in general, to have become thus confused.
