A ˚really˚ good vehicle is purposeful in the sense that it will tend to rapidly lead beyond itself. Rather than asking that we adopt it and promulgate it — duplicating, defending, maintaining and caring for it — it actually defies our ‘collection urges’ by requiring we ‘expend it’ in order to gain otherwise impossible progress or benefits, transforming itself into fuel with which to reach for new terrain — where this process will be even more rapidly repeated.
