When you ask living beings (or places) for an answer, they do not make up stories or words. They become the answer and demonstrate it. Human beings like to make stories and descriptions. Other organisms are not generally involved in such nonsense. They do not act intelligent; they -are intelligence in action-. There is no formal representation (like language) involved. The only way to experience this form of learning is in direct relation with other living beings — it doesn’t come from books, classrooms or robots. That’s part of why we are intelligent. We think it’s some special gift from heaven, when, in fact, it is the special gift of immersion with millions of silent intelligences, all of whom, in our catastrophic hubris, we dismiss as pests or render into trade items.
