When a flower is seen by a human person, particularly one who is intimately involved with it in some way, the flower can be said to achieve a kind of biocognitive superposition. Something similar occurs in the relationship between the flower and various bees (and hives, and other pollinators). In love, and even in many other less intimate relationships, it is the position we hold within another’s mind and/or ‘heart’ that we cherish and attend, nurture and hope for — in effect, this same ‘superposition’ that we largely ignore the existence or power of. One may further observe that some human spiritual philosophies appear to equate eternal life in paradise with achieving an analogous position in the mind of God, which is, for them, the actual body of heaven.
