Although the acquisition of information and methods qualifies as learning, these are like the branches of a tree and must not be confused with the whole. Learning seems more the processes which transform, integrate, and project what is acquired. The alchemical interaction between the substance of our senses and experience and the peculiar characteristics of our minds and habits where it is enmagicalized, and emerges as insight.
When vital, this process continuously catalyzes new forms of attentional and contemplative awareness; ‘ways of knowing’ through active application of mind, body, emotions and intellect. The whole affair is fraught with enthusiasm, discovery, and wonder. There is a sense of personal involvement which ordinarily -flows- and maintains momentum.
