The ‘liquid intimacy’ we experience in dreaming is a catalyst that our minds depend upon to exceed themselves. By dipping us directly into relational experiences which are either improbable or impossible, we are temporarily (and partially) relieved of the limitations imposed on our minds, experience, and understanding by the mundane cultural barriers so common to our waking thought.

This relief is the birthplace of prodigy, and, unexpectedly, it is the key to understanding some of the deepest, most ancient, and most profound of our relational assets… most of which lie obscured beneath a morass of abstractions that emerge from the desire for objectivity in culture — a desire which is explicitly inhibited in the experience of dreaming.
