2017: Future History: It was eventually discovered that ~90% of armed conflicts were based on crude understandings and misapprehensions of language and tropes whose underlying denotative and metaphoric structures were essentially the children of ancient conflicts to begin with. When we began to learn to master the languages which had previously been war-goads, our age-old impetus to fill everything with shards of metal essentially evaporated.
