I am beginning to realize that the ways in which we are taught to spacialize (that is, to relate with space through formal and informal models of its forms, extents, and meanings)… is actually extremely primitive. In some ways, more primitive than if we believed the Earth was flat. We exchanged that correction for progress in other domains, and, in many ways, our capacities for actually understanding the nature and implications of our relationships with space have never recovered from that decision.
