Recent news reports indicate that becoming ‘popular’ in school usually involves bullying. I suggest that this usually involves recruitment activities by other ‘popular’ children. Think deeply on this.

Then extend the metaphor to knowledge; particularly reality models and broad rationales of identity. Popular ideas are heavy on recruitment and viciously armed. In these domains the ‘bullying’ is real but invisible.
