The left hemisphere can be understood as a sort of leash or lasso, which contains the otherwise effusively fantastical effulgence of its brother, the Right, in whom it does not believe. But this leash is ordinarily held by -language and ideas-. In order to have a mind, we must wrest the leash from its common masters, and taste, firsthand, the liberty of ‘steering’ what we were previously leashed to.
