Let me explain in simple terms what is going to happen in the United States now.

1. The President will declare something that is either illegal, or totally obviates some facet of the government, for example, the Environmental Protection Agency.

2. He then waits to see if there’s any actually effective correction from anywhere at all, but, specifically, the Congress or the Senate, and possibly the courts.

3. When there isn’t, he will then play ‘up the ante’, and declare something even more dangerously autocratic.

Repeat step 2.

Repeat step 3.

Because, apparently, there’s literally no one and nothing willing or able to directly interfere with this process, or this maniac.

Which means an exponential cascade into ever-more dangerous, illegal, and perilous violations of … whatever he pleases or finds profitable.

[ Also: anything having to do with the environment, or protecting it is over with. The environment is about to become naked bait-for-profiteers, unless something effectively interrupts this algorithm. ]
