Where is actual power in human social structures? Is it in the »formalization? The »figurehead? Or what lies mysteriously behind, before, above and surrounding that person?

Is it actually in the President? Or the one to whom they listen, the one they »serve?

If you look carefully, you will see that patriarchy and matriarchy are, in a sense, myths. Figureheads. Figments.

The mothers of history have, throughout history, held and wielded power… without it usually being formalized…

The actual power is almost never in the figurehead.

But in those who, often invisibly… hold influence over them.
