At the river, there is a group of intelligent human beings.

They know what to do when together, and voting never arises.

•••

Only the man who has stopped breathing will tend to have reason to speak of breathing. He whose mouth is dry will have words for water. When humans are not relating, there will be talk of ‘rights’.

•••

Only those who no longer form their own unities and collectives will have reason to concern themselves with ‘voting’, or complain about the process.

Those who form their own unities will have many other ways, and few of them will be formalized or abstracted.

But for anyone else, voting will often make things far worse. Because it is the expression of the evacuation of relation, as relation.

And that is simply lying.

‘Rights’ are the same kind of lying.

They become necessary only in contexts where myriads of competing fictions and evaluations, metrics and accountings… have replaced humanity, relation and intelligence.
