I saw a repost of an idiotic (sexist) comment by someone appearing to be a male troll on social media… and had the following thoughts:

I have no idea why it’s become fashionable to re-share the writing of idiots as if it is an example of ‘men’ or ‘people’ … ( it is not! ) this kind of thing has every bad effect… it encourages misbehavior on social media (because you can get ‘infamy-shares’) and it leverages various bot-derived psy-op strategies that further divide and ‘outrage-trigger’ us. I vastly mistrust this trend… do we even know that the post in question was composed by an actual person? There are 12 reasons to suspect it wasn’t.

Falling for outrage-bait is not the useful move here ( and I can recommend three others that might be ).

If we propagate misbehavior…. we will certainly fertilize its purposes.
