So excited to announce my most recent interview with Sergio Toporek!

Sergio Toporek aka ‘Topo’ is a graphic artist, designer, teacher and activist. I first became aware of his work through his FB page, Beware of Images where he was using images to speak to the dangers of flat thought, social media, and ideological jingoism.

In this interview, we explore a broad array of topics, ranging from the power of images (and the way we are affected by them), to their dangers. We discuss the history of his Facebook page, which was severely throttled (read: completely destroyed) by Facebook, as many other community pages were.

We talk about the history of his thought, life and fascination with the possibilities or art as a means of educating and liberating minds and lives. We also explore the dangers and promise of technology, apocalypse, and the nature of the human relationship with representation.
