Nearly all of what we say is the result of perceived differentials in qualities, quantities or situations. Including what I’ve just said here. In this walk and talk I explore the strangely primordial gravity of ‘measuring’ and its relationship to (adult) human cognition, speech and behavior. I also talk a bit about authority (a fiction) and authorization, which are also fundamental to effectively all of our mental and linguistic behavior, as well as our psychological underpinnings.
