‘When you gaze into the shimmering reflection of your surroundings in a pool of water, you know intrinsically, that the images that appear there are not »there. We call them ‘reflections’ in English. There are better words in other languages, but this one will suffice. They are beautiful, they shimmer, and the reflections of the Sun or Moon or stars (or even a fire or other light) are special kinds of reflections, in part, because, such reflections, like their origins, actually »illuminate.

But what I would like you to consider is that ‘reality’ itself, is a special kind of »shining water. What then, is ‘reflected’ within it? What is the origin-world-place that it is reflecting? It is no simple matter to say. And words about this will be confusing, in part, because they, too, partake of this »reflecting quality.

One might say, however, that it is the Origin-world’s »characteristics and features of relation that is being reflected. This world is beyond time and identity, beyond ideas and concepts. It is transcendental to thought the way the Sun is transcendental to an ember. Yet both are intrinsically linked to one another, for without the sun, there would be no minds, no embers, no waters, no reflections and none to wonder about their nature.

‘Reality’ is a reflection in a universal pool of that which ‘water’ is a peculiar physical instance of. This by itself is astonishing to consider, yet if we recall to our awareness that our own »minds are a sort of superposition of all possible waters, and, perhaps, timespace itself… our wonder may grow in pulses that deepen with each iteration until we »directly contact with them the most astonishing revelation that grants us a direct experience of the fact that, »most of the time, ‘reality’ is not there at all. What is there? A kind of vital emptiness that is more than merely alive, and is the source of all being, all relationships, all knowledge… and all appearances. And we, ourselves ‘are’ this strangely vital »absence of discrete phenomenon that might be understood as ‘as yet undifferentiated potential.'”
