As far as I can tell, ‘bacteria’ are highly intelligent organisms that produce hyperstructures (relational dimensional manifolds) not merely over timespace and organism, but over »possibility… they are profoundly and anciently intellligent, but their modes both differ from and contribute to the organisms they compose and inform with their activity. They participate directly in nearly every life form on Earth… and may actually be involved in »engineering the forms of life that… like us… speculate about their abilities, origins and nature…

But my point is that their societies form elaborate predictive networks that are not passive. They actively »generate new possibilities upon which to gamble… and new embodiements of the vehicles that can take recursively self-magnifying advantage of opportunities that might otherwise be infinitesimal.
