So I have to update my near-miss hawk theory, because, about 30 minutes ago I was in the garden and the same hawk fully struck me on the top of my head. I don’t really know what’s going on… and it’s very interesting to me… also, I am only relatively modestly injured…
… my current theory is that it’s mating/nesting time and the hawk may be extraordinarily territorial. However, I have never seen a hawk do anything like this. I was just reading a bit on the internet about it… it does happen… so it’s not a total novelty.
Really fascinating experience to feel the strike of this hawk, suddenly, out of nowhere… on the top of my head. I was doing the same thing I was the other day (walking meditation) when it happened.
