More ‘shocking’ findings of animal intelligence ‘in the news’.

The only thing that renders this ‘remarkable’ is that absurd presumptions preceded this ‘discovery’, which, like so many similar findings… is only ‘unexpected’ because something else was anthropocentrically asserted. I.e: that animals aren’t really conscious.

If one removes the furniture from a room, it becomes remarkably empty. Similarly, if one removes the idea of awareness and beingness from organisms, it then becomes ‘shocking’ to discover … the opposite. Of course, if one hadn’t made the first ridiculous move, the climactic moment of reversing course wouldn’t be remarkable at all.
