“Complex issue there. Alex has what one might call ‘an inflamed genius’. This is when the personal aspect of the Agent Intellect (all this language is figurative, not literal) gets someone to become super-excited about the ‘prophet/messiah’ role. Various results obtain, but a common one is that both the Agent Intellect (as expressed in a person) and the person’s mind collapse into rather tragic (and increasingly hyperbolic) displays ‘to the public at large’.

One result is a ‘personal mythology’ that can become, for the person involved… ‘literal’. The mythology mirrors projections that the person makes upon an actually conflicted and confusing world. These projections ‘explain what is wrong’ with the humans and their world. Except, when things go this far sideways, they don’t, actually do that.

Of course, each specific person will select certain concerns, wrongs, conspiracies and so on as foci. And many of those »are actually bad or even possibly evil… this is to suggest that even if he’s out of his mind (inflamed genius syndrome) he might still have a few things worth listening to.”
