I saw a question in the NF: “Is dying for one’s country a moral duty?” I found it annoying. It’s the kind of question that shows up how bizarre the modern relationships between language, thought and understanding have become. How strangely abstracted from anything actual, as if the language itself were somehow habitable. Or reasonable. Without any context whatsoever. It’s like there’s this ghost-mind inside us, projecting universal declarations… and polarities.

In any case, what I immediately thought was a remix: “Is dying for one’s duty a moral country?”
