I reserve a special flavor of skepticism for ideas or declarations that are made outside of relational contexts that might otherwise cause them to come to life as nuanced paths of travel rather than endpoint assertions…

Ideas inherit qualities and effects… from context. Which in this case means something like earnestly fascinated and creative others, unified by their agreement and enthusiasm for »learning.

Without that, ideas and declarations — descriptions and explanations — are rather like the skeletal remains of what might otherwise have become a living exploration. One is reminded of a dead God intoning ancient admonitions, imagining what it would be like to become alive again.

So when I am sitting here, ostensibly alone, thinking this… I reserve a special flavor of skepticism… even for this idea!
