The newsfeed is super-gambit-y. There’s an astonishing ubiquity of ‘collapse the frame to this’ gambits. Or ‘you people who collapse the frame that way are wrong’. And: Hey, over here, here’s the »correct way to collapse the frame!

It’s a recruitment protocol for copying meaningless/wrong/bad (and otherwise disorienting) information. Swarms of it.

The weaponization of commonly distributed (mostly copied) information is astonishing.

Exceptions noted. And there are, at least, a few.

I was talking with someone the other day and said, “…right now, I think the news is so toxic that it’s not even safe to »study it.”

But the newsfeed makes that seem a bit tame in comparison.
