When a society raised on the concept of competition (i.e. primary defection from community/meaningful social relations) is challenged to demonstrate care for others, there will naturally be a contingent that laughs that off… or even gets angry. After all, competition isn’t about care, it’s about domination. Winning. Maybe at any and possibly »all costs.

It turns out that the orienting principles »really matter. Fuck those up? You get nightmares… forever. Or at least until the clock runs down.

The orienting principles of our situations aren’t really even principles. They’re lies. Blatant, malignant, toxic lies. Even in »prisons, those suffering there form communities. Pathological, yes… because the context is.

There are no individuals. Except in isolation. Or in a context that counterfeits the nature of life itself, and then goes on to weave layers of lies into our idea of what is human, good, advanced… and so on.

But let’s be clear: there’s no winning on a dead planet. In a dead culture, ‘victory’ means new kinds of death and disease. The fact that these masquerade as ‘advancement’ isn’t surprising; the demon underneath has a hunger so endless it will eat the entire history and future of life on Earth if »merely ignored… and it’s absolutely furious with anyone who opposes its self-and-other terminating agendas.
