Our actual humanity and agency has nothing in common with the quotes and maxims that compete for replication-attention in the new viral economy. This is the ‘promise’ of social networking as it presently exists — more manipulation-per-second at ever-increasing costs.
These media objects are the products of a intentional manipulation by bad actors and institutions. The result of our compliance with them is species of passive hubris combined with a toxic propensity to confuse their replication with a meaningful communications gesture.
This habit builds upon itself over time with deadly consequence: it restructures our brains and our intelligence, as living assets of mechanical processes. This activity is actually repurposing our minds and bodies… and is invasively changing the roots of our actual relationships.
It is a disease that plays upon ignorance to produce deeper ignorance, and establishes a paraculture of human beings converting themselves to the reproductive organs of memetic diseases.
Do not comply.
