I reflect on the wonderful conversation between Eric Weinstein and Tyler Cowen, male bonding, and a simply excellent analogy that explains why we are vulnerable to becoming terribly confused by both analyses that are malformed and generalizations that pretend that fields are units (a deadly problem in our common relationships with language).

This concern is actually a generalization about clumsy generalizations!
