“We spoke about the other night about an interpretation of why the blue-belly lizards ‘go to sleep’ when you rub their bellies… that was important.

I tagged this as something I wanted to remember, later,… I put that away. And a couple of hours later, I tried to recall what it was I had tagged; new ideas, insights… and I cannot recall them. I had to work »really hard, for like two hours, just to reacquire that memory… of the lizard-thing.

In dreams it is similar, I tag the dream for remembering, and get up to ensure I remember it, and believe I will, but, later, I find that all that remains is the tags.

The knowledge and memory that there was something I was trying to remember, and I tagged for later recollection/emphasis… but the tags don’t lead to what they were established to preserve.

They just sit there, in a pile, reminding me that I wanted to be reminded about… something.”
