Literally. Originally, this was all about Sea Pirates who came and wiped shit out and took -everything-…

… so, you know, when you finally realize that Pirates run damn near everything… and eventually come to steal anything that manages to begin to produce co-optable »value… that is, to be ‘successful’….

…at least you won’t be too confused about the actual nature of current events. The fact that the pirates »wear costumes… is only barely interesting. The fact that the common people have difficulty seeing through the costumes… and have thus learned to blame each other, other people, or form nonsensical narratives about it… is a bit more interesting…
