Language isn’t code, it doesn’t execute what it asserts, unless the specific variety of the utterance is performative… in which case, the execution, however momentous, is at the same time, superficial, that is to say, in language.
With poetry we validate, or write… this is made at once ambiguous, and suggested… rather than asserted. And this is often far more powerful than the explicit assertions of the mind that demands…
But there’s a place beyond language, where the gestures of communication accomplishes what they suggest…
