As someone who studies human cognition, perhaps specifically our relationships with language, knowledge and ‘information’, this is the most astonishing and unexpected event I never imagined living through.

And I might not, too.

It’s all about ‘narratives go to war’ in the newsfeed. The rational vs the irrational. And that latter stuff? Well, let’s just say ‘it’s off the charts’.

Problem is, people keep confusing narratives with people. That’s not too surprising given that we employ narratives to understand our own identity and relate … internally and socially.

And the media will exacerbate that confusion, and profit from it. Just like political parties. Just like religious parties. And so on.

And in such chaos, the voices of intelligence, and the potentials to enact their suggestions… will be the first casualties.

The days of the shit hitting the fan are OVER.

These fans are MADE OF SHIT.

And in case it isn’t clear, that shit just reflects any intelligence that might accidentally get directed toward it…

… for the foreseeable future.
