A brief enumeration of language in which the ‘we” doesn’t exist (because it was never forged by agreeing participants). Much of the common and habitual use of this word refers to a fiction… as if it existed.

Once this fact is recognized, it is at least possible to answer all of these questions easily: because there was no »actual we. It was a linguistic apparition; having presumed an actual we exists or did… ‘we’ become puzzled by the idea that any group of any kind would allow or endorse something, do or fail to do something… and this leads to the possibility of forming an actual we… with and for each other and the world.

But an empty ‘we’ cannot do or resist things. It only exists in language. It cannot respond to anything.

“Why did we…”
“If only we…”
“When did we…”
