∞ The often shocking revelations and insights of enlightenment experiences… are probably something akin to memories of the experiences of birth and death. When I read Maria Kvilhaug’s ( Ladyofthe Labyrinth ) story of her near-death experience in the snow as a girl, I am reminded of the stories some tell of our first taste of satori-like experience on the meditation pillow or in daily life:

‘Suddenly, everything started changing into light, very bright, pulsing, almost as if it were singing… I started to be swept into it but I recoiled, thinking: if I allow this I will die!”

Yes, perhaps… but not in the sense these words evoke…
