This process can be at once ecstatic and terrifying, for the waking mind is oriented to conserve its constructs… in some domains ‘at all costs’. The waking mind and its self-like-ness constructs are conflicted with its origins; it is deeply identified with them and their consistent preservation ‘across gaps’.
