Science is a method. Humans use it, not gods. Being a scientist doesn’t necessarily mean you know what you are talking about, or that your authority is guaranteed. A lot of factors are involved. Human. Cultural. And theories, in science, can become like religions. Good science gives us reliable data that we can use to approach the formulation of frameworks, both observational and evaluative. Then we need other faculties. Together we use these to produce and test interpretations. Theories. No proof. Science is about exploration and discovery, as well as the improvement of its own processes. But it does not »tell us what things are. Unfortunately, we treat it … as cultures and common people, in a variety of dangerous and confusing ways. First, in misframing it. And then, in enacting those misframings as habits, technologies, and their repercussions.
