Perhaps there is some truth in what Jason says. Of course, ‘people’ on facebook are not precisely actual persons in our lives, because the entire context is both counterfeited and openly parasitic, as well as directly supporting the explicit opposite of everything we count to be activism — all day, every day.

So ‘people’ here, are, unless they establish actual intelligence and relationships with one another… pretenses of personhood or relation. Mostly just pretending to be wise, pretending to be true, pretending to be… whatever they are actually doing mostly the opposite of.

Along with whatever truth may be found in Jason’s post and judgements, I will add this: if one habitually coddles stupidity, and habits that win acclaim while lowering the standards of our actual capacities, counterfeiting insight or intelligence… and falsifying the urgent gifts of our humanity, well… let us notice that the results will, however ‘kind and gentle’ they may appear… actually suck.

To pretend that which is tedious is excellent, that acts which are mediocre are praiseworthy, that false progress is true progress, that sophistry is intelligence — this is far more dangerous than ‘offending’ a few people who, in truth, would benefit from some relatively severe and consistent correction.
