∞ Since the nature of our potential, development and intelligence lies primarily in our capacity to form effective, intelligent collectives I propose a simple idea that is infinitely extensible and is, itself, a developmental platform.
While it is relatively difficult for a single person to change the world, a small group whose commitment and purposes are intelligent and authentic can accomplish what would otherwise appear impossible, unlikely, or unimaginable. Quickly, too.
The goal is the rapid establishment of small, effective, intelligent collectives and the frameworks necessary to invent, sustain, and advance this opportunity.
I call the model One True Purpose. The structure is intentionally lose, and is as follows. A group of people (less than 8, preferably an odd number) forge an agreement to work together as an intimately coordinated team to both discover the natures of and solve a problem.
The problem can be any kind of thing. Relational. Social. Communal. Personal. Heuristic. But the best problems to begin with are relatively modest in scope and available to rapid, intelligent analysis, intervention, and transformation.
So a small team is assembled under an aegis of learning, mutual developmental excellence, and problem-solving. They work out the details, the methods, and the nature of their communality. They learn how to share and develop mutualizing intelligence in a context that is real, matters, and becomes action.
Over time, this process will breed entirely new forms of human awareness, potential and intelligence. It is the basis of nature, biology, and thinking. But it is not the basis or much like any of our cultures. Anyone can do this now. Anyone that will, will discover a new world… and move the planet in ways that matter. More, with each new experience.
One true purpose is a toy of mutual developmental superfunction that helps us discover how to accomplish goals that matter… with and for each other, the history of life on Earth, and the future — which now requires our active protection and invitation.
