This is a call for assistance for someone who has recently suffered a variety of serious setbacks and is presently at-risk. She lost her place to live and her phone, and recently even her clothes were stolen. So I am reaching out to my friendlist in an attempt to organize a small amount of aid for her. She is presently at risk and needs a few basic things to help her get on her feet.

(See update, below) The most crucial thing at the moment is a usable phone that can make calls and text; if it could run apps, that would be even better, but a basic phone will suffice. She has a plan already ( verizon ), so just needs the phone. If you or someone you know has an old unused phone that you are willing to donate (please ask a few friends who might?) this would be extremely useful and helpful to her as she is presently unable to communicate other than occasionally from a local computer. If you find or have a phone, PM me and we can arrange to get the phone to her.

UPDATE: We have solved the phone problem (thank you’s to Monica and Thomas!), however, if you have an additional phone (or other technology) you can spare, kindly reply (with make and model) if you would like to be on our list for the next (at-risk/at-need) person who could benefit. In this way we can share some of our unused tech devices and help lift others who are unable to acquire basic tech.
