This is a very interesting situation. Notice that it is all a bunch of experts talking about a savant who they do not actually talk to in the video. So in the entire video, apparently celebrating this savant, they do not talk to him at all. But rather, ‘his handlers and family’.

This is also interesting because every single one of us is secretly a savant. Those we »call savants are those who survive the crippling introductions to language and cultures of aggressive stupidity. normalization and commodification.

Also: there is clear evidence that Derek is unusually lateralized hemispherically. Notice how his head orients in various activities, and how it is ‘scanning’ during walking. This is an excellent insight into the basic nature of the body. His whole body is ‘dancing’ through the experience of walking, back and forth between the sides, hemispheres, and aspects of consciousness’. He is not having an experience like ours, but like »our origins.

Many of us will live and die not know this about ourselves. We are all born savants. All of us. What you see in adults, mostly, is the skeletal remains of what managed to survive the ceasless, pirhana-like assaults of mere exposure to ‘everyday life and reality’ in cultures too inhuman to allow actual humanity, except in very ‘special’ cases, which, themselves, ‘required many terrible accidents’ to even emerge into possibility or attention. And then… mostly, as ‘something for sale’ on television, the internet… and everywhere it can be sold.
