In this modest rant, I break down some of the issues and arguments that are eternally confusing the actual nature of our relationship with the G-word: God.

Generally, most of what people are talking about when they use this word has nothing to do with the word or its real or possible denotation. Mostly, what people are arguing about is concepts and stories, books, dogma, and universal declarations of identity or domination.

We must wade through the language and invective, history and delusion to get at something far more obvious and simple: everything is more than intelligent. And it doesn’t really matter ‘what we call it when we refer to its unity’ unless we think labels and arguments are relationships or intelligence.

They aren’t.
