I gots game? Initial reactions, 10 mins in, single player: Aight, this game actually sucks. Bungie? You are idiots. The first few minutes of every Halo game (hell, even Marathon) drew me in and made me want to play. The first few minutes of this piece of crap proudly announced that I was in, rather than anything interesting, new, or playable… a ridiculous stupidity of competing goals and pop game cliches. This is essentially Call of Duty fracking Borderlands in the backside in full view. The idea of mixing those two things is bad. Really bad. I cannot stand the ‘poorly programmed enemies run bad attack algorithms on me while looking mostly like machine-animated cut-outs in a shooting range with a few unglorious bells and thistles. Fatuous role-playing aspects and such. In pseudo-MMO style. Halo wasn’t brilliant about this, but it was alive and avoided the bad ‘movement cliches’ of Borderlands. Destiny gives them a new home, and I cannot stand it. And the result is … garbage. After 10 minutes I am more interested in who I can off this piece of plastic to… than my next experience of it. Bungie, you suck. #destiny
