“My friend, @[1057557704:2048:Darin Stevenson]’s posts often inspire me to be conscious about how I use this Facebook space. I know from the experience of being part of this virtual community over the past several years, that when I, and YOU, use it as a platform for our authenticity, it can be tremendously powerful and inspirational.

Over time, I have grown weary of the too-oft-repeated quotes, the too-cute kitty videos, the bemoaning and fear-mongering that neither seeks nor offers potential solutions. I crave, instead, as I scan my feed, your original prose or poetry, expressions of your honest state-of-being, questions inviting my input, stories of brave and active change-makers. While in Africa with limited internet bandwidth, I came to appreciate a feed that couldn’t bombard me with images and memes, such that actual written postings were more readily brought to my attention.

This space, this technology is such a wondrous gift… going forward I intend to use it more consciously.”
